The transition back to work after a long weekend is always tough. In our family this morning, we and all our neighbors heard Stefan’s tears at the end of our driveway as we watched Daddy ride away (on his bike) down the hill and around the corner out of sight. Just before he left, Janelle very sweetly said “Daddy, you don’t get to do all the fun things that we get to do today”. I took that as a great complement.
There is the three of them enjoying beach time yesterday. As for today, it was painting day and trip to the wharf day. We opted for fingerpaint and face paint, then ice cream at the Bay (our first try! YUMM! made on premises!) and a walk down the Maritime Museum wooden pier. This one has railings on it, with openings smaller than childsize! Thus I much prefer over the Government Wharf when taking the 3 of them on my own. No rescue jumps into the ocean for me!
